Supported 19 aspiring women Entrepreneurs from economically disadvantaged backgrounds across various villages in Madurai district by providing essential business tools to help them grow their livelihoods.

A total of 28 participants from diverse backgrounds attended the event. Roots and Rhythm was a joyful celebration of creativity and learning through workshops, stage performances and a lively carnival. The event brought together students and parents in fun-filled, meaningful activities while raising funds to support Kalpataru Trust’s social impact initiatives for the underprivileged.
A Vibrant gathering of our volunteers from Master’s Art Club and individual women artists was held at Kalpataru Trust. Discussed how each individual can contribute their time, Skills or ideas to support Kalpataru initiatives in creative reuse, awareness programs and outreach.
Shared our mission and objective on “Joy of Giving” and Sustainable living. Engaged school & college students, parents, homemakers and employees.
Items made: Scrunchies (Big & Medium) Fabric Bows (Big & Small) Accessories were stitched using simple materials like thread, elastic, clips and glue. Intern Students, Costume Design & Fashion Department, American College supported and made the items. First set of products was sold out at Kalpataru Trust’s Exhibition Stall.
A total of 30 individuals were sensitized through one-on-one interactions and group briefings. As part of this initiative, we actively engaged with the General Public, Government department staffs and stall owners to promote sustainable living practices and reduce plastic usage. Distributed paper bags to stall owners, helping to replace plastic bags and promote reuse practices.
Donated 353 Engineering Study Books to Anna University – Regional Campus, Madurai. Books will benefit many students, especially from middle-income families got admission based on counselling.
